Despite Terrible December Weather...

Weather forecasts say that I should stay put under a quilt than
board a gulf craft for a three hour trip across an unpredictable ocean...

I am to get up around 04:15 and be at the jetty for the guys to pick me up
through the usual bus route... I'm not liking this at all!!
I'm glad that at least Paul, Clare and Russell are gonna be there..
makes it easier to know that at least I wont be the only one thrown into the sea.. :))

The bank boat reached the island around 16:00…
Everyone was very much looking forward to it.. pay day!!! :)
Today they came to open accounts for three groups of
people in the community.. they all looked pretty bushed!
One staff even fell off the boat and all evening he kept complaining
about his Nokia that, well, fell along with him :)
I couldn't help but laugh when he said this was the fifth time..
no exaggeration here...

Made some garudhiya and fried fish... just a quickie... while Shalni cooked
rice... I never knew Basmati rice could taste this good with garudhiya... mmmm

Tonight's committee meeting was chaotic!
The president and his partner walked out after exchanging
vulgar pleasantries with the Island chief...hmm
They just cannot have a normal meeting without
bickering like old widows... I've come to believe that these
people are actually looking for a platform to backbite and complain...
through out all that, I was smiling with a heavy heart.. :)

This life, I'm loving it!
